Kirkfield to Bobcaygeon

Not a hectic day today.  As the lock did not open until 10:00 that is when we left.  It is still an interesting experience to go through a Lift Lock, however going up is not as spectacular as going down.
View of the gate as you ascend
View entering Fenelon Falls
The morning was spent again in narrow, shallow channels.  Today we only touched twice.  We are doing much better than C”est La Vie on that front.  I only hope we have not done any damage.  As you go along you can see the deadheads and lots of weeds.  We had to wait for the locks at Rosedale and Fenelon falls as both times someone was coming up as we arrived.  After Fenelon Falls you are into Sturgeon Lake so we were able to make some time.  At the end is Bobcaygeon.  This is our favourite stopping point.  We arrived at around 2:30 and stopped.  After an early dinner on board, we walked up to the world famous Kawartha dairy for Ice Cream and are now on board for a coffee/tea and bed.  The locks open early tomorrow:9:00 so we hope to make Peterborough.  Not too many pictures today.
There are many spectacular cottages along the route but they do become routine.  A much longer trip tomorrow.
