Frankford (Lock 6) to Trenton

View of Kawartha Voyageur as we leave Lock 5
Nothing much happened today.  We got away from the top of lock 6 with another boat just at 10:00  They were trying to get us down lock 5 before the Kawartha Voyageur came through.  He was waiting for us as we left lock 5 and the balance of the trip was very fast.  All the locks open .  We arrived at Trenton around 12:30 and added fuel and did a pump-out.  Then it was into a slip at the end of a dock.   Wind was blowing 15 directly from the West and of course we were trying to dock on the leeward side.  Only one dockhand but the boater we came through the locks with gave a helping hand and everything went smoothly.
This is a brand new facility in Trenton with all new docks, breakwaters and a reception building with showers, lounge area etc.  Internet is also good, better than Bayport.  An excellent place to start the journey up the Trent or relax after completing the journey  It was 387 Km and 44 locks.  Next year apparently the lockage is free, so it will probably be busy.

Tomorrow we are off to Kingston where we will be stopping for 5 – 6 days.  Leaving the boat at Confederation basin.  Jennifer will bring the Denanli to the boat after work tomorrow and then we will put her on the train back to Toronto while we go back to Rigaud for a few days of last minute errands.
